Our Story

We open The Sophomore with equal parts well-intentioned thoughtfulness, prideful cleverness, an eye to doing things better…and always a measure of caution-to-the-wind. 

We believe that wisdom and foolishness are each part-and-parcel of the human experience. As restaurant people, and indeed as a society at large, we are a group of brilliant morons. 

OUR FOOD MENU IS DESIGNED BY WORKING TITLE FOOD GROUP EXEC CHEF STEVEN QUEEN IN CONJUNCTION WITH NATIONALLY CELEBRATED CHEF, MICHAEL KORNICK, AND EXECUTED BY SOUS CHEF JUSTIS EVANS.

OUR BAR MENU IS DESIGNED BY WORKING TITLE FOOD GROUP BEVERAGE MANAGER MADDIE CURRY AND EXECUTED BY THE SOPHOMORE’S BAR MANAGER ALI GEARY.

WE PROUDLY UTILIZE THE HIGHEST QUALITY, ETHICALLY-SOURCED INGREDIENTS WITH AN EMPHASIS ON HUMANELY- AND SUSTAINABLY- RAISED ANIMAL PRODUCTS.
